I am creating this thread in an attempt to document this current Google Event that has come to be referred to as "Jagger" for future reference. Six or nine months from now, Google will, once again stir the algo pot and cause general upheaval in the SEO community. It would be nice IF we could easily access this (what will then be) historical information. Here is a collective list of the threads created to discuss the Events surrounding Google's October 2005 Update. (sorted in ascending order by creation date) Some "pre-update" movement Update threads: It is my hope that we can consolidate this valuable experience PLUS maybe for the first time actually have some DOCUMENTED RESULTS when the Event has concluded. One major frustration when searching previous Google Update threads in the forums as they seem to "peter" out with virtually NOTHING to indicate how the end results effected folks. Of course, these major Events have had a tendancy to drag on for WEEKS and this one is no exception! (44 days and counting - for some) But I am asking that folks take the time to "check in" to a least one of the "Update Threads" and report on where you were left when the Update had finally concluded. Thanks, Caryl
Greetings Caryl, I have appreciated your detailed and thoughtful presentation of information. You bring a special touch of class to this forum. Please keep it up..! Mahalo nui loa, Thank you...
Good idea, Caryl. Those links all in one spot will come in handy. What criteria should we use to call this mess 'done'?
Pretty much when the flux you see is back to "typical" and ALL Datacenters return results that are within a close proximity to one another. I suspect this "Event" will come to conclusion much like a train pulling into a station. All the cars do not stop at the same time and the engine arrives, sometimes, long before the caboose. Caryl PS - Here is a look at my results throughout the Event... Google October 2005 Event - Jagger
i just wondering if the result recently is this for ever index or just temporary but at least i know i done no wrong to G
and now will be great if the moderators clear a little bit those threads, cause many posts are "same here",â€anything newâ€, “It’s good for me…â€,â€It’s not good for me…†to stay only the useful information....
