Adsense for a discussion forum help

Hi guys and gals, im fairly new to adsense, i say this because ive had it for a year on my site but never bothered to actually use it to its full potential.

My site is a discussion forum for collectors of Playmobil toys www.playmoboard.com and i was hoping that i could get some feedback since i know that forums arent the best places for these ads. Ive read a few tutorials and have done a few things to make the situation better.

my main concern is to have the ads within the forums at the right place. so far ive got the ads showing up in a table after each post, the problem is, im not the best at programming css so the table kinda looks like poop.

any ideas?

i love this forum btw, ive been reading it for a few days now... its addictive
