Ooops! Kicked out of Adsense...now what?

Discussion in 'Guidelines / Compliance' started by adamjthompson, Oct 4, 2005.

    Hi,

I have been a member of adsense for a year or so now...I set up my own search engine using their results. I used my own search engine when I needed to search the web, & clicked on the ads if I was interested in what they were offering. I didn't realize that this was against the tos. So, they kicked me out (gave me no warning).

So, what do I do now? Should I apply for a new account? Is there another equally good company I can go with?

    Thanks!

there are some other threads on these forums about "I've been kicked out -- now what?", check those

but they all seem to end with: Contact google, explain your situation and hope/pray you'll get in again...

You blew it son. Only one adsense account per person. Time to regroup and find another legal way to monetize your site.

Only option left now is to start selling your body to overweight males in their 40+.

Try Yahoo Publisher Network. Here's a very complete list of alternatives with pretty good summaries.

BTW, that's a pretty poor excuse.

Wow nice list you have there. Thanks for that info. We were looking for some others to give a try instead of just relying on google. We make good money off them, but this list will give us an option to try out others on our newer websites.

It is a lousy excuse. So lousy that if you wrote to Google and told them what happened there is a faint chance they might believe you and re-instate the account. As you currently have nothing you have nothing to lose so write'em.

It's not just a pathetic {lousy}{lame}{low in credibility} excuse -- it's what criminologists call a "neutralization technique", essentially a form of rationalization that allows the criminal to believe that stealing money out of someone else's pocket is acceptable behavior.

Try Yahoo Publisher Network. So far, I notice higher earnings there with the same amount of traffic and CTR as was with Google.

Yahoo won't let anyone in unlike adsense. They are very stringent regarding page views ect. They want established sites. Not some slapped together weekend project. And what makes you think you wont get banned from yahoo as well?

I know. It's really my own fault. I should have read the TOS more carefully.
