I am wondering why I got an Infraction remarks from this 2 thread with the following remarks "Thread Started In Wrong Category " the first thread URL is http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?p=1438014#post1438014 originally posted at Google forum which I believe best category for it, than the current category where the mod moves, because the thread is related to google, no other search engine except google displaying a suplemental result that is the reason I start it at Google Forum and why this thread http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=129524 is not been mark as posted in wrong category. And the second thread is http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?p=1337817#post1337817 was originally posted at Adsense forum and it was move by mod to keywords forum, does this thread not fit in the said forum "Adsense". Does some mods intentionally doing this to sellective member that they don't want?
I think you need to work on your english a little bit it is hard to understand. I am not sure why the mods would be trying to get rid of you. I doubt they would either.
Sory for my english. But I am not sure why I get those remarks. I believe that both thread are in proper category.
The first post referenced does not belong in Google. Note the description for that category says This is for discussion about Google as a company, not for discussion of individual sites (SEO or "why a site ranks where it does" questions) or Google search results.
Hi Smyrl thanks for the clarification now I know. But the following threads do you think they are talking about google as company? http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=129524 http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=144334 http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=144159 http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=144020 Just asking once again thanks for the clarification
hey pino, don't worry about it.... we're all dealing with this right now. The new crackdown has seemed to cause more harm than good. I'm sure the mods are trying to do what they thinks best... but I mean, how bout a little laissez faire ? This is still the internet, right? ps. - you're right about all those other threads, looks like you just happened to be the one they caught.
yeah.. there are a lot of misplaced threads and most of the time only the reported threads are "caught". if you look back at the last pages of the forum, you'll see a lot of violations. Just do your best to not do another one.
Clearly some if not all of those are misplaced. The Google category probably ends up with more misplaced threads than any other category. Am sure some of those will be moved. Shannon
It to my opinion is not causing more harm than good, but vice versa as it helps all of us to post better, read the FAQ, etc. And this is not the internet, this is Digital Point Forums.
