Hello, there are millions of advanced searchers nowdays, but amazingly I was found that most of my friends (even working at hi-tech companies - engineers, programmers) dont know how to find something that not trivial.

Please share your google search techniques - how to start, what to do if it not in first search pages, how do you find some type of information and so on. Web search guide books are really sucks.

    Here is my own trick:
when i search for movie or music download and i want to save my time, i use
"name_of_the_movie filefactory" or "name_of_the_movie rapidshare" in google.
(name_of_the_movie is what i search for)
It allways works cause most of those downloads are on these file storage sites

Just a bit off topic but advanced search operators are a field where yahoo is much better than Google for the simple reason that it allows the combination of two search operators while Google doesn't.

For example, let's say that I want to find the .edu backlinks of a site
With yahoo I can do a search like this and find what I am looking for while google doesn't return any results

lol, careful when checking back links, for those that don't know, when doing the linK:www. domain.com operator Google only shows a percentage of links to the site when doing that and MSN makes a number up! try it, remember that number then click through to page 10 or summit and watch it drop lol

alltheweb.com and Yahoo are the most reliable :)
