Check out this query to see what I mean Results 1 - 25 of about 3 from www.mapusaurus.com It looks like the total count they are displaying (and I've seen this on multiple queries now) is for non-supps-only (only exist in the main index), plus 1 if there also happen to be other supps. If a page is totally supplemental (only shows as supp when yo do a search) or exists as both supp and non-supp at the same time (shows as normal in a regular site: query, but also show with the supp-only site: query hack), then it doesn't appear to be counted in the total being shown for the query. -Michael
I think I understand what you are saying, but I did the search (209.85.165.104) and got the 1-25 of 3 statement, but I see 10 non-supplemental pages and 15 supps. Doing a normal site query shows me 11 of 3, only 1 is non-supp. The math does not seem to work, am I missing something? I did notice a few site: queries that had bad counts in the last 2 weeks, one showed 75 while claiming 67. I did not do a supp vs. non-supp count. Of course, this is easier to track on small sites. Something is definitely up with site: command. Just saw one where it give the page count as normal, but almost all were supplemental. Then I clicked the ole, "repeat with omitted results" link and boom the list expanded 10 fold all with non-supplemental pages, until I got to the last page of results which showed the behavior mentioned above, where the "about XXX" showed the non-supplemental total, but the 101-161 indicated the total of sups-only and non-sups. Expect a bad-data-push post any day now?
