Whats the best value for money laptop?

im looking at buying a new laptop in the near future, can any one recommend a powerful, but light laptop.

 

I can recommend a powerfull laptop by Toshiba company.. The one I now have for my self..

Price please? between xxx$ and xxxx$?

 

no more than £1000 really want it to be light and mobile.

I have a toshiba, A60, good laptop keeps overheating tho and switching itself off

 

Toshiba laptops are normally quite expensive, as compared to other brands.

 

Laptops come from all the range , netbooks to massive gaming lappy's. Whats important is your purpose.
A Dell M17x with a plain web designer is nothing but waste of resources.

What all do you plan to accomplish with your new laptop? is it gaming or animation, or web designing or what?

Since we're bringing a dead thread back to life, I should point out that WalMart usually has laptops at extremely low prices.

 

Dell is worst, I am having many problems with it. I would suggest HP, they are really good.

 

i suggest Hp is better cheap and good in performance and easilly repairable.

 

Try to look for acer aspire range, I know that acer has not got good reputation but in recent years their laptops are unbeaten in cost/performance. I bought Acer Aspire 5542G for 400 UK pounds and it plays HD 4GB ram. I can even play GTA iv and it is good to look at
