http://www.snowcommunity.com/whistler/ AND http://www.snowcommunity.com/forum/index.php?c=6 I've spent a fair amount of time reading about placement tips. I'm planning on making a few changes once I have some time, but what I'd love is some additional tips specific to my website. Be nice to have a second opinion (my readings being the first). Thanks for looking!
Yeah! wow! Change the colors on those ads. Right now they scream out to your visitors, "hey im an advertisement!! Dont click on me!" Your ads should blend into your site.
Looks like you're taking the "Digital Point" route of differing colors at the top. I don't mind that color, but for the links in the middle of the page it's quite off-putting. Like a sickly yellow on off-white. I'd have to agree, change the colors a bit.
Thanks so much for the tips. I've blended the ads so the fit into the sit more and hopefully that will help with the CTR. What do you think. Also I've noticed that on certain pages, no ads are displayed in some of the adsense boxes....http://www.snowcommunity.com/index.php for example. Is there a way to hide the box when no ads are served, or is there a way to ensure ads go there...not sure why they are missing. CHEERS
the left menu is a stroke of GENIUS!!! Hope you don't mind, I have to try do the bullet thing sometime soon
You can try using your sites color as alternative link for your banners, so it will be blue and not white as it is now.
I got that from these threads on DP: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=32305 http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=17104 Some good tips on there
I really need to find a way to hide the space when no ads are there. I'd like to have a picture in place instead... Any ideas?
