That sucks, it appears the site's down where the ebook is :/ Ah well.. I'm glad to see more opportunities to learn, though! :) Made my first store-based sale today so a bit jazzed on that front, also.. :)

What kind of profit margin were you making on the 90K of sales?

I used to do that, years ago,but quit. It's not hard to get 100%-200% on small priced stuff, but anything over $100 and 20-40% is the most.
Competition is fierce, but if you know how to market/seo, you can definitely be on top.
And for the guy who wanted to do that on ebay-don't bother! those people are barely getting any profit. Ebay fees, paypal will take a chunk of change, then you are left with a few $$. Having your own website will make you more money.
The thing with dropshipping, you are selling no name stuff most of the time. Stuff like Nike,Sony will never be sold by dropshippers because big companies don't deal like that.

The reason I asked is that 47K doesn't sound like a lot of money if he was making 90K. Even if he was making a 33% profit he'd be bringing home 30K a year. Hardly worth the 47K price tag he got for it, IMO.

Here's a lesson for everyone...Make sure your website is up and running 24/7 because if people can't get to it, you make ZERO. None of JDN's links currently work. I hope his e-commerce site wasn't the same.

LOL...and its really not up to me on this blog..because I went with Weebly because it was quick and easy to set up and they are down for maintenance and updates right now, one of those unctrollable issues.....as far as the Ecommerce it was up all the time to scrape that kinda cash in...lol!

Well it wasn't 90K profit..it was about half that profit..it did over 90K in sales....And the reason I sold was because I didn't like the niche....not enough repeat customers in that niche, plus the design wasn't super because I built it myself...oh and I know 1000 times more about conversion, SEO, marketing and alot of psychological factors that increase conversion now....plus it frees up alot of my time to get MANY bigger and better sites set up....

Basically I can do better and I want a niche that gets lots of repeat customers like hobbies, consumable goods etc....then once your open for awhile and if you have a 25% repeat customer ratio then rankings wont matter as much....

Liar....LOL!! My lifestyle doesn't think so.. ;) Don't believe me heres the thread where I sold the site

Sorry, I'm blaming it on Weebly for being down for maintenance.. LOL!! Probably a few hours or less it will be back up...Maintenance is one of those issues that just has to be done...

Even if you host with top notch hosting company, like natnet or mojohost, it's still possible you will have occasional down time. No host can assure 100% uptime, they just differ in the way they respond to it.

Glad to see your links are up and running again. I was really just busting your balls because it was funny that the site was down.
