I don't believe it. yahoo will not do it now. and in specified link page it is not mentioned in the way that publisher from india. I think they wanted to say the visitors of india for the american publisher.

    Hi guys,
Just thot i give my 2 pence..
YPN has already secretly entered non Us Market for a while..
At least UK is one of them.. Awhile ago i post on this forum b4 that YPN is offering UK webmasters in the form of a partnership with another marketing company.. to see how legitimate click here.

well India is the biggest . we have the largest number of English speaking ppl after US.
The information may be correct considering other things like
    (i) Yahoo is seriously lookin in to Indian market. For last one month Yahoo is advertising like anything in indian media , both in elecetronic & print
Never seen so many yahoo advt. boards in my locality :D
(ii) Yahoo has set up 3 offices in india and now like Microsoft & Google more than 30% of its employee strength are indian.
(iii) yahoo has also started doing its product testing in india (so called Beta) like its new mail version

so i ll not be surprised if YPN comes to india. but name change what 4 that

you have to calculate their total population. it is huge. so it is natural that not for most. but 350,000,000 is a good figure actually the best. Nice find Xe.

I think it's smart for YPN to go into whatever market where they see the most pent-up demand for publishers to have something like Google Adsense.

Now I don't know much of anything about this market, but it didn't strike me as odd in any way that YPN would do say India before Canada or whatever other country, there's a lot of webmasters looking to make a little buck via the Internet in India, more so I presume than Australia or New Zealand.

Advertisors will bid probably same on ypn and adsense , they could pay better than adsense if and only if they are going to lower there margin , and in this competitive world donot think you can expect much from ypn .

countless if you consider small business websites ,These are nasdaq listed websites of indian companies , Rediff.com , Sify.com, and baazee.com(which is now ebay.in not longer owned by indians).
Also all newspapers websites are selling stuff and very successful for example ndtv.com reported 40 million visitors a day on an occation ,other includes moneycontrol.com(owned by CNBC , but operating in india),indiatimes.com etc etc ..
most of these sites have shopping and stuff like that and represents good stuff .
    shaadi.com , bharatmatrimony.com,jeevansaathi.com ,clickjobs.com,timesjobs.com,naukri.com
these are few sites with huge databases ( millions of peoples) ...
Ecommerce will be back soon . As internet penetration is going up day by day (almost 100000 new peoples learn internet daily)
all of these sites depend on

I can't believe that nobody has made this point yet:

Yahoo Search Marketing is for ADVERTISERS, not PUBLISHERS. What does this mean? That Yahoo will be offering those who live in India the opportunity to advertise on Yahoo, Yahoo Search, etc. They need to establish an Indian advertising base well before they can offer anything to Publishers.

Perhaps 6 months of Yahoo Search Marketing India, and then possibly opening it up for YPN Indian traffic.

    My thoughts.
