It's not the end of the world! There are plenty of other ways to check backlinks. Check out Blekko.com.

This news is not only 6 days old, rumors about site explorer shutting down were spread about half a year ago, only not all believed it would actually happen. Sure thing, this will make webmasters move and think a bit - which other useful and free service to use, but we shouldn't make a tragedy of it. We all know that Site Explorer was not accurate, and to get adequate results personally I had to combine it with majestic seo or ahrefs.com, otherwise it was all useless.

I am with you Guisbar. I don't always believe that one source is absolutely complete. I combine results using SEO Spyglass which pulls results from multiple areas at the same time.

It doesn't matter if Yahoo is shutting site explorer down, it was not such a good idea in the first place.

Sniff, sniff; This means that this is the end one of the more determining and trusting tools on the net for checking backlinks.
