WordPress password not working

I installed wordpress and used it for a few days and now my password does not work and the password recovery doesn't work with the email i used to install!
this is my 1st time using wordpress!
what can i do to fix this?
is there a way to change my password by editing a php file or db or
can i reinstall and save the pages i have added/ what i have uploaded and added to the site??

any help would be greatly appreciated!

You can modify your password directly through phpMyAdmin as it is stored in the database.

still a lil confused on what to do! im still lost at php just learning or trying!

i looked all through my phpmyadmin and couldnt figure it out

do i just put my pass word where i put i wrote put pass word here?
it had a long random numbers and letters in that field? i tried to log in with it as my password and no luck?

ok, you are already on that screen, just delete that password, you see on random letters and number, and put your new password. choose MD5 on the function column under user pass., save, re-login using the new pass you entered.
