it is not code mate, it is just a cpanel, phpmyadmin access. and your db., it is basically changing your old password with new one using phpmyadmin.

or you can use this emergency script.excerpt from the link above

that would be a waste of money mate. I can just do it for you for free. Just pm me your cpanel info and your DB name, username and password.

I did it, and logged in. It's kind of interesting though. He didn't have a password set up for his username. I think when he changed his username, he somehow deleted the password as well, so he couldn't really log in. I logged in, and it works now. Sent him the pm with his new info.

i have a solution but you need to do a little bit homework. do you have wp installed in your localhost? install wp and create new account with any password that you can remember. then go to phpmyadmin and browse to your wp database and then go to wp-users table. copy the hashed password from user_pass field. now go to your phpmyadmin panel at your server, go to wp database and paste the hashed password into the wp-users table in user_pass field.

then, try login back to your wp using the new password.

This issue has already been solved.

Cypher, it took me less than 20 seconds to change his password. Do you know how long your way takes? It's crazy. There are much faster ways to do this.

This is what i did. MD5 creates a new hash for you. Why would you need to install wp on your localhost and then do all this other unneccessary things in order to change your password. The only people who need wp on localhost are those that either code wp plugins or those that code wp themes. No other reason to have it.
