Yeah i Noticed It In the Adsense thing too. Relevance has set up something very good with a great idea, and also has been very successful in promoting it in a short amount of time. Hopefully he will get his 3000 completed Surveys.
hi, thanks for the suggestions... actually the first guy I PM'ed just barked back and told me "You gonne be in trouble - shawn will ban you..." .... well not everyone here is so helpful, openminded and nice as all you guys helping me here and shawn - well tough he approved the survey and we discussed this even in person last august and november he is very silent right now... shawn did not allow a direct mail / pm to all users (which woulld have been the scientific and valid way go get respondants) but also he did not even put a link / banner anywhere as you suggested... which I actually expected I mailed him couple times/PMed him - but my gutfeeling is he's just on vacation /hell busy ... anyways - thanks for all your support folks... THANKS!
No problem dude .... we are all here to help you out and I hope Shawn agrees on this. Its for the improvement of digitalpoint as well.
@kumar: tetragon is right I ask for (any) email address - you can use an anonymous gmail address and use it just to be notified on this, then delete that account again if you are afraid of giving away your real mail... I think when I got the 3000 entries and notify the winners via email, I will ask them to post in a "survey winner's" thread if they like to reveal their id
Shawn dont answer via PM - Dont waste your time.. Also, Can We know, what you will get from this survey ? Why are you spending so much ? just curious..
as stated earlier, this survey is for my master thesis I've spent 100s of hours for my thesis I've spent 100s for sig links I've spent 100s for adwords promotion any of your help is much appreciated... definately I think I would need even 1000s of promo budget to get it where I want it... I didnt even plan to spend all that ad money because of the nice prizes donated ... so fact is, not earning anything. on adwords: poor results altough I got a 30% conversion rate on each adword click I only got a CTR of 0.15% max ... which is really poor ... I did expect a lot more interest for the $4500 prizes... that comes down to $5,50 per completed survey - which is hefty my concern is, that if I dont get any more high profile support from DP I would would need even 1000s of promo budget more to reach 3000 entries... :-(
it looks at online community member motivation, and various aspects related to stimulating participation in a forum some more http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=326352
motive chain = completion of my thesis, thereby completion of my studies, thereby a lot more time in my life :-D
