why SiteMap is Important...??

i saw sitemap in many site. i want to ask why site map is Important.and how its effect ur page rank?

make XML Site map and submit in major search like google, yahoo and bing after that you will see.....

 

It has nothing to do with pagerank, but the others who posted are right about it being an easy way to get your many pages crawled.

 

Making a sitemap doesn’t influence the Page Rank but it does increase your ranking.

 

When you submit sitemap in webmaster tools you are providing them with a list of pages for their crawlers. According to my experience you may submit your sitemap once and then do not resubmit when you add new pages to your site. These pages will be indexed anyway.

I think sitemap is a file containing all the links in the pages of our most systematic and link it easier to focus on search engine statistics, statistics and time will be faster

1). Sitemap for User - HTML,.asp, htm etc... - It is just like a Map (Think Like map of any area) of your site.
2). Sitemap for Search Engine - XML Sitemap - So Search Engine Can easily fine all links of your site
3). Sitemap has nothing to do with pagerank.

 

For me, a site map is important because it helps in getting the site indexed and visitors can easily find what they want.

It make navigating your site easier. And having an updated site map on your site contributes to your search engine optimization effort.
