As for my personal experience with Muslim goes, I'm a Hindu and I'd could happily say that my mentor was a devout Muslim and I have nothing but praises for him. Most Muslims in India are wise enough to see the ways of fundamentalism and I guess it is the duty of us non-Muslims in India to ensure that they do not feel alienated.

Hello?Hello? What? I followed that link and found nothing objectionable! All is stated is that he converted to Islam and his parents did not like it, just natural. No where it is written that he was forced. Many people also say that he converted to Islam to become the captain of National side...........but to remind them, he was in fact once the captain of national side before converting to islam purely for cricketing reasons. And after becoming muslim he could not get captaincy purely for cricketing reasons!

So whats the point?

Good stuff..For those who have lived in Indian metro hotbeds, they would know that there is a subtle strong relation between Hindus and Muslim that transcends all religious boundaries. Some of my closest friends are Muslim, heck my own girl friend is a Muslim and I completely respect and adore her for that. Shame on you brahmana, for you are not proving a point but instead you are creating a desperately sore and intolerant image of India which any Indian would vehemently deny.

 

Because if hindus and muslims hate each other it will be easier to direct them and use them by the bigger forces.
There were living together before Brits colonized their country.

 

Some conflict and tension between religions is often unavoidable because of their differences in beliefs. But few people judge/attack others based merely on their religion.

Terrorists and religious extremists come to mind.
