Why Can't We Have This Rule?

I agree. No Need to be hiding the URLs in private messages. Anythread with the Url Hidden, or the domain name hidden, should be deleted.

 

Well in sales threads of websites, in some situations I do not like to reveal the URL in public of the site that is selling.

One reason is reputation. This has happened to me before whilst site flipping. I bought a site off a friend of mine, in 2 weeks he saw it for sale for 4 times as much at dp and thought I had ripped him off for it.

I know the Google index is crap since most sites for sale are already indexed, but sellers have lots of other reasons to want to hide the url.
