    Hello
i have account in SBI, SBT and UBI, last month i have applied for SBI Gold credit card and deposited 20000 as FD.last week i got a letter from SBI Cards by saying
"We regret to inform you that your SBI Card Application could not be processed since it does not meet our policy. We thank you for your time "
When i called them, they said My Place is Non a servicing area
I went to AXIS bank and ICICI all of them give Credit card against FD.
So can you suggest me to choose a Good Bank for CC

For a credit card, HDFC is the best bank. Also their other services are good. :)
But in ICICI there will be too much fee for different things. :p

No, I don't use credit card in my PayPal. I just verified with bank when it was there.
And to buy anything I simply use credit card rather than using PayPal where it asks for a CC in PayPal.

Don't even go near icici bank. As shubhi said they'll charge you for everything.

Hdfc bank doesn't give fd linked credit card. Maintain a good s/b account with them with healthy transaction. Add pan card in you account details. They'll offer you a card within 6month without any need of fd.

Axis Bank too give you credit card on your relationship however are too slow. They also give you FD based Card.
Min Rs.25000(Fd)+ 5000(S/b Ac they will ask you open this. not mentioned on site.)

Other option is Kotak. Open FD in Rs.25000 and get a card. Though they have less branches and process are not upto mark.

Did you applied for Sbi advantage card as only that one is offered with FD?? All others will be rejected.

Other bank which offer FD link account are Andhra bank. Vijaya bank(sbi issue card for them).

Private Banks are ideal for getting credit cards. They offer lifetime free cards. I have account in almost all the banks you have mentioned. I prefer having FDs in nationalized banks.

Which banks give lifetime free cards?

ICICI Bank no longer issues lifetime free cards. They don't charge an annual free for some of the cards, but the cards don't come with a lifetime guarantee of 0 annual fees. The bank may ask for an annual fees later.

Till around 2008, ICICI Bank had been issuing lifetime free cards. These came with a guarantee that the bank will never ask for an annual free.

As long as you pay your CC bills on time, there will be zero issues with any bank's CC.

Having accounts in most of the Indian banks, I would rate my experience as below:

1st Choice: Tier 1 International banks: Citibank and HSBC
2nd Choice: Reputable private sector banks, such as HDFC and ICICI
3rd Choice: If you are somehow stubborn to not using any of the above, then the last option is those public sector banks such as SBI, UTI, BOI blah blah. However they have pathetic customer services and I am closing all my accounts with them.
