Wordpress is much much better than other services.

i've found in my last 2.5 yrs experience, WP is the very easier to get PR and Rankings in SERP.

Stronger + very good functions to create site in WP.

    Thanks
    John

So your trying to say than when you go on wordpress you'll going to have a good SERP and good PR? You know what? That's not depends on one particular hosting, that's depends on how you'll optimized your page.

I have worked with Modx CMS and it really rocks - best for SEO. If your are in development of blog then my vote would be for WordPress.

Wordpress is great out of the box, especially with the large number of plugins etc available.

I also really like snews - as it is the bear basics but is highly customizable and can easily be built to achieve what you want it to.

A friend of mine uses Joomla and he's able to get good rankings with it so it must be OK. I'm using Wordpress and it seems a lot better than Blogger.

I will say wordpress is the best because there is to plugins that you cannot miss.

One is google site map and other one is seo pack. It make all your urls seo friendely.

Also for social networking I will say boonex dolphin 6.1.

he asked which is the best for SEO so i told him to choose wordpress.

Man, First point is always Choose the Right Blog Software (or Custom Build) and optimization is the second step, that you know very well ???

here is the my optimization steps after selected right hosting for blogs :-

    1) Choose the Right Blog Software (or Custom Build)
    2) Host Your Blog Directly on Your Domain
    3) Write Title Tags with Two Audiences in Mind
    4) Participate at Related Forums & Blogs
    5) Tag Your Content
    6) Launch Without Comments (and Add Them Later)
    7) Don't Jump on the Bandwagon
    8) Link Intelligently
    9) Invite Guest Bloggers
    10)Eschew Advertising (Until You're Popular)
11)Go Beyond Text in Your Posts
    12) Cover Topics that Need Attention
    13) Pay Attention to Your Analytics
    14) Use a Human Voice
    15) Archive Effectively
    16) Implement Smart URLs
    17) Reveal as Much as Possible
    18) Only One Post in Twenty Can Be Linkbait
    19) Make Effective Use of High Traffic Days
    20) Create Expectations and Fulfill Them
    21) Build a Brand

@archer_07 : let me know your steps , what do you think and learned about this Blog optimization theory ??

    Thanks
    John
