When Will Clickbanks Update End?

As most clickbank affiliates know, clickbank messes up HUGELY when they update. I have lost about 400 dollars already and I know some have lost 1,000's. I have only ben around here 40 days so I wasnt here for there last update that messed things up. It has been 3 days without sales for me and I Normally would of had over 10 sales. Does anyone know when clickbank will fix everything and start recording sales for affiliates again? Clickbank Is Frustrating!!!

Clickbank is allways working fine, it's all in your head, this isnt sienice or facts is simply statistics, you can have 10 sales every day, and suddenly with same traffic coming not having any sales for a month.

Four sales in Four days is nothing, how can you compare averages with so little? People getting 10-20 sales a day and then 1-2 the next should be the only ones talking.

Kingbrend is right. And also mercury, there still is a problem with clickbank, not to be mean, but don't tell me it is all in my head when there is something wrong, i even showed you 3 different threads with many people talking about the issues.

Sure some fluctuation is normal, yes. But that doesn't mean that Clickbank is working fine.

And I disagree with your idea that you can have 10 sales every day and then suddenly not get any sales for a month and have that be... anything other than something getting messed up, bad. The odds on that just being "chance" are right there with winning the lottery.

Not even close to enough data to be statistically relevant. I don't think anyone is saying that Clickbank isn't showing any sales recently, just that conversions are drastically down for a lot of people all at the same time. Hard to believe it's a coincidence. This has happened before.

I can tell you as a publisher that over 3 days my sales are down around 50% or so. This is based on 3 months of data so the update is screwing me up some.

I don't worry about it though... everything will even back out eventually.

Yesterday someone emailed me with a question about why his product didn't come in the mail (yes, the mail). I explained him what to do and went over my buyer list. The guy wasn't there! Not by first name and not by last name. Furthermore, the timeframe he gave me doesn't match my sales figures of the specific product.

Something is definitely wrong. This has been reported to ClickBank, and I can't wait for the "we can't do anything" response.

    Interesting navdavs...

I noticed some very strange things that happened yesterday that make me think something is up with Clickbank's processing.

On two different occasions last night two different customers bought a product (two different products) under one name with PayPal and then bought it again (the same product) later with a credit card. They had the same first name both times but changed their last name. WTF? Why would anyone do that? I understand some strange things happen sometimes, but twice in one night? I don't know. It doesn't really add up.

I know I'm not explaining this well, I really need to post a screencapture of what I'm talking about.. maybe I'll get to it tomorrow.. If you guys saw it you'd be as perplexed as me, I think.

My conversions have been weird over the past few days. I'm still getting some - but they are slower. I'm not really sending enough traffic right now to know if it's statistically relevant but with others also experiencing slow sales and with that strange situation last night - it makes me think somethings up.

I just joined recently. My first day I sold 1, second day I sold one more, the third day 0, and then today I sold one.

The day when I didn't get any sales was when I beefed up my ads and got at least 1000 hops with no sales. Today I reduced them dramatically and I got 1 sale. Its either Clickbank is based in a reverse universe or something went wrong when they updated. Probably some new software upgrade is having some bugs.

Anyways I replied to increase the headcount.

You are right if you take in consideration your 4 sales in 4 days its in your head if for some time you dont get any sales for some days(Frankly with 1 sales per day you can't talk of statistics)

We are talking about an average 50 + sales/day that have been linear (according to normal sales trends - sometimes 50% more, sometimes 50%less) for months, then suddenly they got around 1000% off track after the update.

If you attended some basic statistics lessons you should know that its very unlikely unless something external happen (in this case clickbank tracking screwed or whatever)

Earlier this year the same happened and clickbank said that thers no problem (lot of people from this forum noticed it, others were not effected), but there was a problem. Later it came out from clickbank themselves that the affiliates cookies were being blocked by a widely used antivirus software resulting in thousands of thosands of lost sales for affiliates....

If something is not happening to you does not mean that it does not exists, consider yourself fortunate and hope you will stay fine ;)

    Cheers

You beefed up your ads and got 1000 hops? (Is this PPC ads using adwords and other PPC programs?)... or how are you 'beefing up' ads. I guess I just want to clarify you are actually getting real people with those hops rather than automated/auto-surfing type traffic that appears to be unique as it is from different IP addresses.

Clickbank itself isn't perfect, but it is one the better options available for affiliate webmasters - in some cases, it costs people nothing and they may make some money from sales. However, the people that it impacts most (when there are problems), are the people using PPC exclusively to drive traffic.

The key to overcoming/negating any potential Clickbank problems is for affiliates to diversify away from sending traffic only via PPC - i.e. article marketing and other legitimate methods of gaining traffic (NOT buying auto-surf traffic packages).

Whenever problems exist, they are normally on a short-term basis and if you have diverse traffic from legitimate sources, you should be able to maintain a respectable ROI.

Ideally there would be a perfect solution where everything was reliably tracked each time. However, nothing can prove 100% reliable for tracking all the time - it is part and parcel of affiliate marketing and should be attributed to promotion costs. The time you should evaluate things is when you daily spend outstrips your daily income at an unmanageable level and make adjustments accordingly.
