What should I fill for the tax ID and tax clarification is the CJ application form.
I'm not US resident, and I'm from Malaysia.

I have read the previous post, yet still in doubt:eek:

I've tried to fill in "-" as the tax ID, but get rejected by the CJ.
I've wrote them a email, but no reply yet:(

And what should I choose for the tax clarification? Should I choose Individual since I'm alone?

And what is (SSN/EIN) & VAT Number (Note: please include VAT prefix MY)?

Hope somebody can kindly clear my doubts, thanks a lot...

    :)

SSN is Social Security Number - its for USA residents only. EIN is a business tax number I'm sure, again USA only.

VAT Number is what European businesses get to register to pay Value Added Tax.

I'm in UK so don't have one, whenever I fill something in that asks for it I leave it blank, can you not do that?

It depends.. if this is a business venture, and you have a business license AND you hold corporation statue (ie: s-corp), then you would enter a EIN. If you're doing this on your own, or your business is sole proprietor or LLC (I think LLC still applies here), then you would enter your social security number.

Your Soc is your Tax ID in the United States if you are doing this on your own and have not incorporated or filed for a EIN. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, then you probably have not established your business in any official manner, in which case you should enter your Social Security # as your Tax ID.

He's already said he's in Malaysia and not a US resident so he isnt going to have a ssn. If you can leave it blank then do that, thats what I do.
