hyperlinks in your design are blue, the least you can do is make titles in ads blue as well..

The site seems too busy. What do you do? There isn't a focal point of what the site is for. How do you make money? The invites are free.

    change:
    ad border to FFFFFF
    ad background to FFFFFF
    ad links to 0000FF

add a leaderboard (728x90) to bottom of page under "post your local events" and put the images you have in "make your invitation" and "make an announcement" above the ads (like in my thread here)

and btw, this design that cost so much, the bullet point images are missing:
    http://www.ebulawa.com/images/bullet_img.gif

good luck, and remember, having adSense on your site is not a garnered income of $1000.01 a day.

Remember that "spending big" is relative.

Part of the reason, to loose context of my site, is google adsense.

    This is what thy said

    Hello Sridhar,

Thank you for your email. I understand you are concerned about the
particular types of ads served on your site, www.ebulawa.com.

We are constantly revising our content targeting algorithms in order to
deliver the most relevant ads to web pages. While this system works very
well, there are a small number of sites where ads are contextually
targeted, but not precisely according to the publisher's preference.
Regretfully, the page you sent us appears to fit into this group. We
    thank
you for bringing this to our attention, as your feedback will help us
improve our content targeting servers to address this issue in the
    future.

With regard to possibility of selecting alternate advertising
    categories,
at this time, AdSense only targets ads based on overall site content,
    not
    keywords or categories.

However, if you'd like to display ads related to specific topics, we
recommend including more text-based content about these topics,
    including
complete sentences and paragraphs, to assist our crawlers in gathering
information about your pages and determining relevant ads to display.
Please note that it may take up to 1 or 2 weeks before any changes you
make have an effect on your ad targeting.

The other option for improving the ad serving to your site is to
    continue
using the Competitive Ad Filter, which can be used to filter up to 200
sites. When employing this feature, you'll need to keep in mind that, to
exclude ads from your site, you need to enter the destination URL of the
Google ad in your filter. This URL may be different from the URL
    displayed
in the ad or the URL of the final page you end up on when you click on
    an
ad (as is the case with the site you intended to block, but whose ads
    are
    still appearing).

To determine the destination URL, we recommend using the AdSense Preview
Tool, which allows you to visit the destination of an ad to view its
content or to add it to your filter list. For more information about the
Preview Tool, including a download link and instructions for determining
    the destination URL, please visit
    https://www.google.com/support/adsense/bin/topic.py?topic=160 .

Alternatively, to view the URL of ads directly from your web pages, you
can follow the steps detailed in the Competitive Ad Filter Guide at
    https://www.google.com/adsense/urlfilter

For additional questions, we suggest you visit our AdSense Support site
    at
https://www.google.com/support/adsense . If you're unable to find an
answer to your question on our site, please feel free to reply to this
    email.

    Sincerely,

    Courtney

    Hi,
Thank you for excellent support so far. I really need some help in this
particular case, iam facing for some time.

    My website is http://www.ebulawa.com
This website's main theme is to help people avoid paper invitations
(invitation cards) and use the online services provided by ebulawa to
    invite
    guests and friends.

Interestingly, 99% of the ads are related to paper invitations and the
remaining are from my competitors. However hard, i tried to re-phrase
    the
text on my site, i failed to get proper ads on my site. Also, quiet
surprisingly, i blocked a site www.mufuncards.com and it still appears
    on

    my site.
Is this a bug in competitive ad filter feature? Please fix this.

In anycase, to improve the CTR, i would like my visitors to see
gifts/flowers/party supplier advertisements. How can i do that?
Is this a drawback of contextual ad technology?
    Please help me here.

    thanks again
    sri

    I really like your idea.
I may not implement that, at a place you suggested.
I will be doing it, on a different page, where i do have similar images lined up. This is visible for logged in users.
    Thanks so much.
Looks like, some of my lost confidence is back.
