In Link building we are trying to get links from other websites, some web pages having no follow on their links. It means Search Engines not following links from that website. <a href="http://www.yourdomain.com">keyword</a> --> do follow link will be followed by Search Engines.. <a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.yourdomain.com">keyword</a> --> no follow link will not be followed by Search Engines.. So you can check before put your links whether it is do follow or no follow. that's all.
I belive only Google uses the "nofollow" to omit backlinks. The other engines use "external nofollow" so they may still give you credit for "nofollow" even if Google doesn't. Just right click a page/blog and do a ctrl-f and search for "nofollow" and you'll see if you should post or not.
Easier to use the NoDoFollow plugin for Firefox. That shows the nofollow links in red and the dofollow in grey.
As we know NO follow links are useless for getting backlinks but I want to focus on that issue my recent thread on that issue. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1553611
In an easy way nofollow means google will not consider value of that back link, but traffic you will get.Based on quality of BL +content, your pR updations will done, so if had nofollow PR also do not worry, you will get traffic benfit.
Hi, This would help you... http://www.inlineseo.com/blog/2008/03/15/what-is-dofollow-what-is-nofollow-follow-along-and-see/ ---Sar
Do follow links means when google will crawl it will consider the link. That is a tag in html rel="dofollow" google crawls that link and considers as genuine backlink. For no follow it's reverse. Do follow links are beneficial in SEO.
Huh? I never knew there's a tag for this. I mean correct me if I'm wrong but ALL LINKS are Dofollow unless you put a nofollow tag. No need to put a dofollow tag if ever there is such a thing.
