The launch date explains it. It can take a few months before you get indexed and start geting visitors from Google. Back-links are the number one thing to do to get Google to find you. With sites linking to you, then Google can find you. As for your Page Rank, it'll be a long time before you'll get one of those. It was almost five months between the last update and the one going on now. Over the next month try to get a lot of sites to link to you. Then you should get a PR next time it updates, and hopefully get out of the infamous sandbox (ie geting indexed in Google but being on page 4,545,354....). And of course you'll get visitors to the site through the new links.

If you don't have one, add a link section and link to the sites before you ask them to link to them. Let them know you link to them and that might increase the odds of them linking to you. Hopefully most of the webmasters you contact won't have a Toolbar that shows the PR!

On a site I started making almost two months ago, I didn't get any visitors from Google until today, when the site went from PR 0 to PR 6.

The only downside I saw on the site was that it looks like it's more of a portal (links pointing to info on other sites.) So as soon as a visitor clicks on one of the many links, there gone!

One downside to that. None of your visitors would be interested in that.

Definition of mesothelioma: A rare form of lung cancer caused by exposure to asbestos. Mesothelioma affects the pleura of the lungs, often over a period of many years.

Unless your visitors have that, they will not be interested in the Ads! Note the term RARE, hince the lawyers pay big bucks for the visitors, since they can make millions if they win the case.

Nintendo, thank you so much for all your help. You've been a huge help. I appreciate the time you took to help me with my questions. I'm going to so everything you said to do and hopefully i'll get out of the "sandbox". A links section will also be added to the site tonight and i'll try to contact the web masters of some other sites and ask them about linking. I learned a lot from your post... more content will be added to the site in the coming week to attract more visitors. :)

Heh, another good point. What if I place some text under the ad reading "Please support this site by visiting our sponsors above (only click if you're interested). Some people would click on the ad just to support the site, even if they're not interested about Mesothelioma. :)

Heh, I guess that bright idea goes out the window.

One last question, you don't have to answer it if you don't want to. Which of these sites should I keep as the default home page/layout? Site A has frames and seems to be the site people prefer (based on other forum polls). Site B has no frames, but has a bit more content (but takes a bit longer to edit). I'll be selecting which one will be the default page tonight. :)

    Sites:
    a) http://tabwin.com/
    b) http://tabwin.com/tabwinx/homepage.htm

If you can, place a poll on the site and let the visitors vote. I always like non frames over framed versions.

Oh my god, what just happened?
    Friday, April 22, 2005 2,035 21 (clicks) 1.0% $2.97 $6.04
    Totals 9,299 71 0.8% $1.24 $11.53

I posted a topic like this on another message board (along with the image you said was against Google TOS) and a member said he clicked on an ad more than 25 times to help. I told him that if the same visitor clicks on an ad many times Google see's that as being against TOS and deletes your account (I think). Is this normal, maybe he was kidding?

Oh crud!!!!! You might want to send a quick E-mail to Google asking them to look at today's clicks!

Though I think you are at a bigger risk if you clicked the ads your self, since you got the Google cookies and Google knows your IP address, though I would still send Google an E-mail. I once got click bombed with over 400 clicks and possibly saved myself from geting the dreded Fraud clicks E-mail, by telling Google first.

This is what I sent them :) -

    Hello, Google!

Well, today I posted my web site on a message board asking people how I could earn more with Ad Sense. After more than 9,000 page impressions i've only earned $6.00. I asked other fellow Google Ad Sense users about this and they replied saying it was normal and that i'd have to have many more visitors to earn more of profit.

It seems that a web user not aware of Google's terms of service attempted to "help" me, and decided to click on the advertisement "21 times" according to him. I then told him that Google considers multiple clicks on an ad as "fraudulent", and he later appologized (although it wasn't nessesary).

So here I am, at this very moment, fearing that i'll love (typo) my Google Ad Sense account because of this guy. I love your program, and i'd like to continue using your service even though it isn't giving me large earnings. I'm not sure if this guy was serious, but I was a bit surprised after checking my Ad Sense report and seeing 25 clicks yesterday (Friday). Is there a way you can check to see if he/she really did click on the ad multiple times? And if so, can you not include those clicks on the reports site?

Thank you so much for reading this, I luuurve Google.
