Contest Website logo $70, with 2nd & 3rd awards - 5 days

• Website :
• What the app does : Scheduled training by email
• Colors I like : #1CB089 green / teal & #992634 deep red
• Brief : A simlple playful logo for my website. It should be modern and it should be clear that it has to do with email.
• Deliverables : In both cases with layered PSD & other source files will be delivered.
  
  • 1 is a square logo preferably with & without the domain name in it (suitable for a t-shirt)
  • 1 rectangular logo (longer side the horizontal) with the logo and the text (with and without the .com in it) to the right of the logo.
• Exclusions : please no 3rd party stock images
• Closes : Tuesday 12 November at 18:00 GMT
• Winner: will be chosen soon after this time, and has to be free to do minor changes.
• Payment : $70, will be done by PayPal.
• Other notes : I will award 2nd & 3rd place prices of $20 & $10, should you choose to sell the rights to them to me. I reserve the right not to award the prizes if there are less than 5 entries or if someone declines to accept the offer of a 2nd or 3rd place prize.
• Logos I like , but I'm not sure if these ideas are any help

Thanks for everyone's great entries so far. I plan to give everyone feedback by Monday. So that people have a chance to do at least one iteration. The good news is that there is more than 5 entries, so there will be a 2nd & 3rd prize awarded. People can submit more than one version. Please avoid logos that are overly complicated. Also please take into account how the logo could look if printed on a square piece of paper and in a rectangle.

So I've spend the last 2 hours looking at entries and coming up with some feedback. I must say I'm blown away with the quality of these logos. Thanks everyone for entering.

I will continue to give feedback until Monday, and on Tuesday I will judge the final entries to pick a winner.

I like the typography choice. I'm not sure that the sphere with a hat and the @ sign really convey the email training.

one of my favourites. I like the mix with the calendar and the email letter. Do you think you could add & offset 1 or 2 more emails envelopes behind the first one, to show it 3d ? and maybe angle the rings at the top to show it being more 3d ?

Thanks for your entry. I fear that the hat image is from a stock source, and the bird looks familiar. Overall I think this is just too plain, straight forward.

It's wasn't apparent strait away that this was a train, but once I got it, I love it. And it also looks like an envelope. A really smart logo. I'm not a fan of the font used for the text though.
