I have to say i'm still using XP, Vista just didn't do anything for me. Very slow and RAM hungry not to mention all the bugs when it first came out. I actually looked hard to buy a laptop with XP on it rather than vista.
hey, you can turn off animation on vista I prefer XP. I have xp on my desktop computer many years. Vista on my new notebook and I still not so fast using vista like xp.
I've been using Vista for more than a year and never encountered any of the problems people say they have.
I have had no problem with vista, since 1 year i have been using it. I prefer vista over xp, and mac os x over vista
i use xp on my desktop and vista in my laptop in my experince XP is faster than vista but vista have good feature which are missed in XP good luck
Hi Next time please dont start a new thread when you could have done a search and found my big thread . http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1450352 Thank you!
I have used both XP and Vista , i guess XP is more faster and easy to use than Vista. I am looking forward to Windows 7,which has good positive reviews.
Vista is atrocious and evil. It grabs all of your memory within 5 minutes of startup (just look at your task manager right after startup and watch your "free" memory drop to 0 after a few minutes) and then selectively dishes out your memory or limits some programs memory (as I'd already proved in this thread). It allots only 50mb to Firefox, for example, so when I tried to run a bunch of internet videos in firefox it doesn't load them cuz of that (particularly anything over a certain size, I believe to be 50mb) .
Vista better than XP, i use home and premium edition, and has no problem at all, but if can why not choose window 7?
