    So...

I recently posted in a thread saying to someone who was publicizing a web host he did not own. This host he was advertising (If you like) was offering unlimited/ bandwidth and webspace. - Which we should ALL know that is not at-all possible.

I even said to the guy advertising this website, you cannot offer unlimited/bandwidth and space, and HE himself agreed, he said along the lines: 'I know unlimited hosting is not possible, I wouldn't do this myself, I'm just advertising for my client'.

They are now offering this unlimited web hosting deal for $5. Which if you ask me, is total bull, you simply cannot offer it for that price. Yeah, sure it's called overselling, but unlimited offers are just ridiculous, for whatever price, as it is impossible to offer unlimited of this and that; it's a pure scam...

I would just like to suggest a rule that unlimited/ web hosting should not be allowed, as ethically it's a scam. I've seen so many people fall for these types of hosts, and they simply reply to the thread saying 'I want a refund'. --- I mean, it is a scam, however people do not know this, they try to get everything for their money, they go for quantity instead of quality! -- They still don't learn the lesson after they have been scammed, so perhaps DP needs to take action in stopping these scam transactions before they actually happen.

I wish there was just a ruling on this... Please share your thoughts!

I agree that selling unlimited hosting is a load of BS and too many people get caught up on that scam.

Having a rule put in place is another thing.

I know various different forums, who do not allow web hosts to post unlimited web hosting deals, and it works. So I was thinking, maybe the same thing can be done here?

I've seen the same and would also like to see it on here. Too many morons are taking advantage of it.
