    What sort of load does this put on the cloud server system if you have alot of people uploading and playing music at once? Is there any critical mass point ?

    Valhalla, It's pretty mcuh unlimited in that sense. It's running one the same servers as Amazon does (http://aws.amazon.com/s3/). Basically the Amazon system allows a programatic way to upload, the script uses it to upload files etc to the external provider (in this case amazon) who then in turn scale with the site. If the site got on Digg for example, 95% of the load would not be on the hosting server
