I had never even heard about stumbleupon until i saw this thread the other day. Then, suddenly tonight i got about 100 visits within an hour from them. I guess i need to get 'stumbling' ! and.. is it just the ones comming to my site, or do they ALL show in the logs as using Firefox? My logs show that EVERY one of them is using FF.. I cant get Adsense FF referals if they already have FF :-( .. that's wierd..

Just signed up...this should be interesting! Any other sites out like this one? Thanks! I've tried the reddit.com and digg.com, but can't find an effective way of getting traffic w/o being considered a spammer
OK GUYS YOU KNEW THIS WAS COMING, area you ready for this! The best way to get traffic from stumbleupon is when people with the toolbar installed give viewing your site and rank it "I like it"/thumbs up. So just like we have the digg each other thing going....lets stumbleupon each other... check out the new thread i started and lets stumbleupon each other and help each other! Thanks. The new mutual stumbleupon each other group thread Thanks! -Dimitry
This kind of thing ruins the community IMO. StumbleUpon is different than digg. When a user stumbles, they don't have any control of visiting spammy sites. Whereas users on digg can tell right away if a link is spam without visiting. My primary industry is arcade sites. When I stumble one of my pages I try to make sure that the game isn't too widespread. SU users will stumble upon something unique and I'll get traffic. Great for all of us There's no shame in submitting your own pages. But when you have a group of webmasters participating just to make pages appear "buzz" worthy it will diminish SU's popularity. Just my opinion though.
lol i just made a new blog and submitted it to stumble upon. not two hours later i have 55 hits from them !
I have also noticed this. I have been having around 5 - 10 visitors a day from this and I don't even know how I got in there.
