You're an idiot and this has nothing to do with your partisan view on politics. All press secretaries are liars by professional whether they are acting under the order of a liberal or conservative president. The quotes used above are absolute proof that he lied as he made the statements (among countless other lies). If he weren't willing to lie to the people, he never would have been given the post in the first place.

lmfao!!! Did you read the two different press briefings??? The second one had nothing to do with the first one...it was taken totally out of context. Also, who said that all press secretaries were liars? What kind of bold claim is that????

Apparently you missed it: I said it. Tony Snow is a mouthpiece, not a thinker; he says what he's told to say. If you're insinuating that government officials don't normally and regularly have their press secretaries lie for them, you're absolutely blind to the functioning of politics as it has always existed.

You're right... we should start debating like him...

D16man, you hate our troops, because you want them fighting and dying, therefore, you hate them... go worship saddam, you saddam lover, you hate america, and you don't support our troops... not only do you support the war, but you're too scared to fight in it... panzy... go worship saddam and hope for more US troop deaths while supporting our war...

Was that good enough? haha... I love this place... :)

So does that mean that Tony Snow goes into the press conference knowing what reporter is going to ask what question? Wouldn't that make the reporters puppets also?

nice try, but I usually try to present some facts....which is unlike yourself.

Really? Then present some facts to backup the statement that I don't present facts... Find where I've posted something as a fact and it was incorrect... Remember this thread?

I'm usually the one backing up my facts, you resort to fallacies and appeals to emotion...

    yes, we know that.

yes, I do remember it, and I just put up my response...it took me a while to get all the links to the individual posts...now go read, and then come back and see if you want to dispute....

Snipping in the middle of a line is something you do when you can no longer argue with reason and logic on your side... By resorting to things like this, you're proving you can't make a logical argument...

I'm heading over now, probably won't be worth my time though...

glad that it ticks you off :D

you are right, because you can't provide a decent answer....just like with this post, you can't provide an answer. Instead, you provide a very generalized response.

It doesn't... I'm getting paid while I post here :)

These discussions don't go anywhere, so they're a waste of time, but atleast It's giving me something to do online while I'm at my desk.. haha

i already did, and yes, maybe we could have a decent discussion if you quit changing the definitions to words...

nice...that can get you banned for admitting though (I might be wrong on that though....)

as I asked in the other thread, please show me:
    1. The word that I changed the definition to..
    2. What the definition is (as words can have many)
    3. The post where I did this.

    Thanks! :D

Haha, I seriously doubt that surfing DP while at work is against the DP TOS :)

How about you answer my question from a while ago and post a thread where I posted something as a fact and it was incorrect... This should be easy as you claimed that I always do that, right?

I've done that several times...you claimed in a thread that "the majority of americans disagree"....I am still waiting for the source...why do you refuse to provide that? You made the claim, please provide the source. Here is the thread that you made the claim:

    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showpost.php?p=4158054&postcount=36

Now that I have done that, can you answer my three questions?

lmao this is brilliant. So someone who has cancer is immune from criticism?
I wouldn't be surprised if that makes it to the wikipedia page for appeal to pity.

I don't know if you have ever had anyone in your family with cancer, but I have...I have a real respect for what they have to go through. They often are already torn down enough due to treatment, and I think tearing them down just because you don't like them is about the most childish thing you can do...

I don't see why having cancer should effect someones opinion of someone who works for the government.

You are using his cancer as a tool to give your argument credibility. And honestly, I find that far more offensive and devious than someone calling him names.
