Mine stayed the same - guess I need to promote more.

On a side note - sure wish I would have started this thread -- revshare for this one should be decent :)

They must also prefer to look like morons ;)

I've made countless threads and never once, made them to get a few clicks.

furthermore, all the money I've made from dp's adsense couldn't by a can of pop ;)

After checking many old web sites I think it could be worse. My 8 months old web site stayed the same while the new one got 3, but I am not sure if this is the end of the update.

    Google is getting serious

By status, do you mean whether it is still going on or not? The way you tell that is by checking a multi-dc PR checker like this one:

    www.digpagerank.com

If all of the PR's for a page that you know has changes (ie. all the same), then it's definitely done. Now, if they don't all line up, it might still be done and some of the DC's busted, like before... so, that part you just have to kind of wait and see. But if they do all line up, then it's done.

Either way though, for this update, if a site is going to get new PR, it will already show on about half of the DC's. If you have someone with no changes on any DC, than you will have to wait till the next update.

I just manually checked his site, it's legit, trust me. Why would you think it's fake PR?

Edit - that tool you are using appears to be busted, or something else is going on. A manual check doesn't turn up the other site it says it does.

Hm. I always use CheckPageRank though. Anybody know of any other fake PR detectors?

    SEOLogs has one here:

    http://www.seologs.com/pr-check/pagerank.html

Thing is, it's also showing that it has a PR0, it's checking a diff DataCeneter than the otehr one does. But I'm manually checking the DC's that show that site as PR8, and they seem to be in sync. I think. Trying to find a site that shows the new backlinks, see what they show.

Edit - Ok, found it. Yep, it's fake:

I can better show fake PR on digpagerank in RED color.

But first thing is to know some reliable technique ..

Michael, as you got disguised by change of IPs... so what should be done?

How to establish a 'Fake PR' and 'Real PR'

That one would be trickier, and seriously slow down your results.

I'll PM you tonight. I have to head out for a couple hours.

I'm glad to see my main domain changed and a on an unrelated note: digpagerank.com must have one hell of a click through rate for that ad. I almost clicked on it everytime I visit.

It's no where near the end of it yet. keep your hats on. I have over 200 sites that have not seen any changes at all on any dc's and out of them are mixed of old sites and new sites. Out of all my sites I only have 1 that has seen changes from pr0 > pr5.

    Col :)

    Wtf?
I noticed that a new site of mine has PR2.
    It launched 03-30-2007
I didn't expect it to get PR since the site is only 30 days old.
    Did Google change something?

Well, then you must be doing something right. Google is constantly changing their algorithm every now and then... so always expect something different.
