I just signed up with TLA and are thinking about buying some ads. Will I be penalized if i use them as Google penalized TLA?.

    Thanks

Stay well clear of TLA text-link-ads they have been banned by google.

Search google for "text-link-ads" they are not even listed for their own site.

Well, as a publisher, I'm still selling links okay. It's a big earner for me, and don't get that many hits from google anyway.

You would be a lot better going with someone that don't reveal there inventory, or get contextual links. TLA is a great program by every means, but with Google getting strict its best to go with CLB style

On my site TLA still works perfect. I know a guy who spend about 2000$ per month for links from TLA and his sites rank great.

I don't care about what they are trying to do, I care about them giving me traffic. Thats why I don't buy or sell links.

They might rank great if you dumped the links too. Also what happens when Google spots the paid links and gives him a penalty?

How can Google spots paid links? It is rather impossible. There is no URLs in TLA marketplace.

The biggest giveaway for Google is when link publishers also include an affiliate link to TLA on their pages. I've avoided buying links on pages that include the link, as its too obvious, and I think that sooner or later the page will be found and prevented from passing any value.
