Marapets has been buying links since the summer and now ranks for the following keywords on google: "Games", "virtual pet", "virtual pets", "dress up games", and page 2 for "Zac efron". Not only have they used Text-link-ads.com they're ranking for everything basically that they want to rank for. They also rank for "pets".
I apologize for bumping an older thread, but why is it that this website is not penalized for paid links? In all honesty, I see it ranking highly for countless other competitive keywords that you have overlooked.

Are you implying that Google manually evaluates websites to determine whether they purchased links? If this were the case, it would be terribly time-consuming on Google's end. On the other hand, if this does not hold true, I'm uncertain as to how their system overlooked this particular website with its rather exceptional collection of backlinks.

That's an interesting observation; reputation points added. We all ought to learn from these big spenders' marketing tactics.
Ya, they've spent at least $50,000 on their link campaign to rank for "Games". Only time will tell if they get banned or not, but I highly doubt it.
