Check out their Help Center and read the relevant threads within this forum. Or ask me any questions or queries you have regarding your Campaign.
Work out what you want to acheive (ROI targets, Ad Spend: Revenue, cost per action, increased user engagement with the site etc), track your progress (Google conversion tracking & Google Analytics), test, test & test again (adverts, landing pages etc), spend time on keyword research (use different sources to help find the "long-tail"). Read a book - Andrew Goodman's Winning Results with Google AdWords is pretty good for a start.
Have you read anything about it yet? If not id watch their vids, read the help center, be aware of their terms for your country. Read plenty of threads here, try and learn as much as you can before starting, obviously you will still be learning as you begin to launch campaigns.
As Pipes says, the whole thing is a continual learning process. Google never cease to bring new features to Adwords which will benefit you 90% of the time if you take the time to review them.
A good tip would be to check your weblog a few days after the launch of the campaign and make a list of all the key phrases that were not relevant to your market, you can then block these out using negative keywords to stop any more wasted clicks.
Google adwords is one of the best to increase your site traffic. It is very easy to use. Before that read the articles about google adwords.
Chunk it down - I think one of the biggest mistake new Adwords users make is putting too many keywords into a campain/ad group. Narrow it down, make your ads as relevant as possible for the keyword terms you are bidding on. If you get too broad with your keywords, your CTR will suffer horribly, and your traffic wont be as targeted as it should be. Good luck.
Read Adwords conditions all the way through - be tuned in to new rules-pay clear attention to your return on investment. Don't spend too much $$ for too little rewards. Do a LOT of reading on Digital Point. PS. Read about this Dynamic Ad format
Start slow and research your competitors and potential customers. It will save you lots of money and time.
Although it does not cover everything there's to know about adwords, I found this eBook to be excellent on learning adwords for the first time. Unless they've changed it here's the link I used: http://www.googleadwordsmadeeasy.com/ I could provide you with my affiliate link attached to it, but I won't do it. I leave it at that, with the intention of quickly helping here at this forum. Read it, Understand it, Use it.
Read before you spend money because its an art! Its taken me a couple years to learn not to throw my money away. Start off with long tail keywords less money involved and you wont lose your cash as fast if you make mistakes.
Hi, Before going to start any adwords campaign , go for indepth keyword research. Get the idea about exact, phrase and broad match keywords .Also have a fair idea about negative keyword also as they have big impact on your campaign. Then try to know the differences between direct linking and landing pages. If you are newbie then first of all go for Direct linking (through iframe )and check the campaign for atleast for 7 days.If the campaign gets profitable then make one good landing page for it . Now have idea about Split testing . be careful in selecting campaigns.don't go for very competitive niches as there are more chances of loosing money. You can check with official adwords tutorial.
