Siteswish - A brand new way to create websites!

    Imagine a drawing tool that lets you easily sketch out a concept for a new webpage design, and then, when you're done, takes that sketch and automatically turns it into a real, functioning website.

    I'm the founder of a company that's been working towards that vision, and we're launching our tool right NOW!

    More or less, it offers a do-it-yourself way to create custom (no templates involved) websites from the ground-up, no html/css knowledge required.
    If you have html/css knowledge, you'll likely find that Siteswish is faster and more flexible than creating sites manually, anyway.

    If you want lots of eyeballs on your site so you can make money with adsense (or other forms of advertising), you need good content packaged in a good website layout and design. While it can't come up with good content for you, Siteswish helps make the website layout and design part much easier.

    Creating and publishing pages is FREE, so if you're in need of new webpages, or looking for a better way to create them, check out www.siteswish.com.

    You can run Siteswish in your browser (need to download the desktop version if/when you're ready to publish).
    On the site there are also few example pages created with Siteswish, and a short slide presentation demonstrating it in action.

    I'd love to hear some feedback from DPers, so if you check it out, please post your thoughts here.
    It would also be cool if you included a link to a page you created!

    Here are couple of example pages (see the html renditions at www.siteswish.com)

    Looks nice=) Dunno why you post this in Adsense forum tho :eek:
    Did you make this software or is it supplied via a 3rd party?
    Btw scrolling is not working in the editor.

    AfiBiz,

    Thanks for the feedback :)

    It's in the Adsense forum because most people using Adsense are content publishers, and this is a tool that helps with publishing content—specifically with the websites that house the content.
    In order to increase Adsense revenues it helps to build traffic, and that's easier to do with a well designed website.

    No 3rd parties involved here, I own the company and the software.

    Scrolling should be working, but you'll need to click anywhere on the page to give focus to the flash player first.
    The focus is controlled by your browser, so its largely out of the control of Siteswish.
    I'll put it on my to-do list to see if there's any possible workout.
    Thanks for bringing it up.

    modpriest,
    hahaha thanks. I'm 23, but I've been at this for a while :)

    steveeyes,
    Thanks, its definitely a little different to dreamweaver. Less technical, more focused on dragging things around with the mouse.

    devabby,
    Yes, sorry, you'll need at least a gig to run it. Memory consumption isn't its strong point. We'll make optimizations down the track though.

    Nice Idea, and beautiful work ...... but this is adsense section here.

    and i understand you want to advertise your work.

    but .. to be honest with you.

    its so complicated to navigate your site and to get a template. and i am not getting the template i am wishing for !!!

    its much easier to get free css basic and proffesional look template and customize it.

    many sites offer templates (CSS, Wordpress, Blogger) for free, by a Creative Commons Attribution 2.5 License.

    here is a list, maybe you will get some ideas in here:

    * FreeCSS.com
    * TemplateFusion
    * BadTemplate.com
    * Free CSS Templates Dot Com
    * TemplateYes
    * Open Source Templates

    * and much more ... SEARCH Templates

    VisionMaster,

    Thanks, but Siteswish is not supposed to be a place to find templates.

    Rather its a software application that lets you create your own unique site.

    The problem with templates is that you have little control over the look, feel and layout.
    It's all someone else's design, and you're likely sharing it with dozens of other sites.

    UPDATE:

    I've just released version 1.0, and dropped the price from $199 to $99 to make it affordable to a greater number of people.

    In additional, to celebrate the release of v1.0, I'm running a HALF PRICE special. For today only, its just $49!

    So take advantage of it while you can!

    (note: creating and publishing pages with the demo version is still free, of course.)
