If u believe that Iam just going on posting in that intro's then why am i not getting any infraction?

And u all are big seniors for me (fryman, Yfs1) so please u can have a check of how many posts i made in the intros, and then do scold me

 

Ack!! 177 posts on that board!!! Way too much!!!

Heck, even with over 8,000 posts, I got a measly 119 posts on that board!!!!

I found that when we reply for "PM sent", "Thank you" or something like that, the thread is come back on top and get more attention and get more order.

So it is something about marketing which is the forum for? LOL

But I don't agree if someone talking to himself or just bump the thread. Anyway it difficult to tell if someone just want to bump the thread.

 

Instead of bumping threads just make sure you include "p0rn" in every subject line. This will get people looking at it, and even potentially replying to it. And if they will likely forgot they already got tricked the first time, as the p0rn will automatically attract them like a moth to a flame.

Now just to clarify, because of the way Itrader works, you need to actually post in a thread to provide someone a score. So in some cases someone might respond with a "PM sent" message, to the original thread starter, in order to have participated in the thread. I think that is reasonable.

If you mean by PM sent by the original thread starter when something was asked, well I don't disagree with that. I just want to clarify.....

 

Undoubtly some peoples are using their power to sort out personal issues as well. I posted a thread around 1 year back. I made a personal attack at a SEO firm, i was new to DP at that time and i really apolize that. But still after a year based on that thread itself i received red reps for nothing and now add to that this infraction.

i donnt know where to take up the issue but there should some limitation on members unnecessary using theit power in a wrong manner.

i had no interest in personal attacks so i apolize to this guy but i had to prove my point here so i used this..i have more such examples...

 

I had no interest in targetting others and i have nothing to do with this guy. Only point is why senior members get away with this and while somebody who had a bit of bad post in the past is repeatedly being targetted and there is no solution to same.

Just got another infraction. I have been making sales from my thread at http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?p=1010127#post1010127 but the buyer has not commented yet in the thread. I need them to comment so to give them a positive for itrader.

This is not bumping my own thread. If you look you will see I have actually addressed the comments to each DP member. You can confirm with them that a sale was made.

Am I really at fault here?

 

Ok so others who post in their own thread they do just time pass. Come on we all know these all are sales techniques to have your thread rated top. In any way i had no issue with you personally but the point is if i posted in my thread after 72 hours and still its a bump than what about others...

Think of them of reminders of the FAQ/Rules...I'm pretty sure you need a lot of them in a short period for it to result in a ban (and even then it is probably a one day ban)

They aren't publicly accessible so you can't even say it affects the view people have of you.

I like that there is a *little* bit more structure as far as basic rules go. You can still speak your mind, be an ass, stand up for yourself, challenge any theory, etc - You just need to spend more then 3 seconds on your post so good posts don't get drowned out by noise.

 

That was 5 days ago and before I received other infractions like it. I have not posted anything like that since. Yes, I agree I did some bumping of threads not knowing the ramifications (and not really knowing it was worthy of infractions). I have already commented on this prior and also said I won't do it anymore. You can check my posts for this.

This is getting way out of hand and it's going to turn members away. I have offered good postings since I have registered with DP and I try to do the right thing. Trigger happy mods I don't think is good for DP IMO. Is this new regimented procedure a directive from Shawn?
