Got scammed by this 2 members: 1. cbugz ; paypal email: I'm a buyer in his thread: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=482999 Never received my product, now escalating dispute to claim to paypal. 2. andygen99 ; paypal email: I'm a seller, after received the payment and send the download link, either he himself or the original paypal account holder has opening a dispute for unauthorized transaction claim. There are 2 possibilities, he opened a dispute for the transaction after he received the download links to stole the products, or he stole/cracked other people paypal account or credit cards. Below is the transaction log from my PM: I don't know how to deal with the last transaction because paypal has asking me for a transaction correspondence, but I can't provide that - the dealing transaction is through PM and the product is digital product so I don't have any tracking system to track the product delivery. I think I'll just refund the transaction cause this thing is annoying me, what do you guys think?
Did you tell them it was a digital product? The seller usually wins the dispute if its a digital product.
I have told them in the first message, and just received second review mesg few hours ago, guess I should mentioned this issue again in the second msg. Thanks for the advice.
Just refund, whenever it's TOO annoying and you are spending much time on that. Meanwhile, I am sure PM screenshots can be accepted as correspondence by Paypal. If the buyer is not responsive, refund and close the matter. If he is and it was an error, then all's fine. If he is and disputes, refund.
Hi, I'll try your advice. But I didn't see any attachment option in the form, I'll take a look... Thanks.. rep added So where this kind of thread belongs to? I saw people post in the general chat and some ppl post the same comment like you. I don't know where to post so I posted here, at least moderators become aware of the scammers and can keep an eye on them. If you know a better section please advice. ============== update: I guess the right section is general chat, just received an infractions.. phew My understanding about blackhat is, it has nothing to do with illegal activities, blackhat is not illegal. It has nothing to do with scamming other people, cracking, hacking, fraud or stealing other people products. We're just completely disregard for what Google, Yahoo! and their companions say is right or wrong. Yes sometimes blackhat SEO will violate SE terms of service so they'll ban the website, but it doesn't mean that the practitioner has broken some law. Did you know that buying links to increase PR is violating google TOS and might get our site banned by google?? If you have buy some links in the past for your website, then you're a blackhatter in google's eye. Have you break the law when you bought the links? no, of course not. Its just that google the almighty doesn't like your action and he will condemned you by throwing you out from the SERP paradise. So yes I'm a bit surprised when got scammed, even if I'm dealing with blackhat stuff.
You don't have any forum to complain. Mods don't look after members if they're scamming or not. If you follow up a scammer(or whatever you say)'s posts and post about your historic deal with himher, you'll get an infraction for "Attacking/Harassing other members" So, you've no place to do this, sorry. Though, let me know if there are any other ways
@inworx Guess we're on our own, so I think we have to live with it @Shazz It happens mate, I don't think about it too much though... just pissed off for a while @anions Yeah... business as usual, paypal sometimes sucks. But it also help a lot
