Hello all dp members I need to ask you some questions Firstly if i would like to increase my ranking at www.google.de do i need to have backlinks from German sites? And How can we estimate the quality of a site by its Pr or its unique visitors? For instance which of them is more qualified: - a site that id Pr 6 - a site that has 40 000 unique per day - a site that has 500 000 backlinks
Check out the source of visitors to your site. If majority of your visitors are from Germany, then try to get more country specific backlinks. Trust PR to estimate the worth of a website if you are into link selling (Of course, google doesn't like this) If your aim is to earn money, then go for the number of unique visitors. You have more chances to get into the top of the SERP if you have more backlinks with proper anchor texts. So a site with a higher number of uniques and more backlinks is more worthy than one with just high PR. Dairyman
40,000 uniques daily would be my method of choice, even if they sent only %0.50 of their visitors to you thats 200 visitors a day!
Choose a .DE extension domain !! Host your website on German DataCenter if Possible. Using Google Webmaster Tool target your prefered location to Germany. Get only quality backlinks from German websites !!! I think its enuff !!
My dear friend It's not like that what you are asking. Let me clear you 1) In order to check the authority of the site you should look over the pagerank and search in search bar in serp for that. Also having high PR does not always mean high traffic. 2) Secondly about unique vistiors that depends on the service, content and fame of that site and most important is backlinks. So obviouly when you have a site that has 40000 unique visitors per day is becasue of 500 000 backlink and when you have 40000 visitors per day its a rule of thumb that your content is high quality so your pr will automatically increase. 3) Generally I site with high backlinks have huge number of visitors and high PR but in some case a site with high backlinks and high visitors does not have High PR Cool Mate and Enjoy your day

My site has a .com domain and is hosted in the US, but ever since I got a Yahoo directory listing in my country's Yahoo, I've seen much more traffic from my country. Now, a Yahoo directory listing isn't cheap, US$300 per year and the only utility that I have experienced is an improved Yahoo ranking and more traffic from the country-specific Google. IMHO, Yahoo is the only directory left which can help a site's ranking. I bought a listing in the business.com directory and some other "authority" directories, and feel that all that money has gone down the drain. I also got listed in hundreds of free directories by using a directory submission service, but that didn't help my site's rankings. I started getting listings a month before Google's directory crackdown started. Hope that helps.
