purplish blueish rep?

for some reason the last 2 reps i got they are a purplish blueish color... also it doesnt add to my rep count does this have to do with infractions or whats going on?

 

i believe that might be gray. and it either means that the user who gave it to you doesn't have enough rep to spread to you, or they are new and dont have enough posts or havent been here long enough to spread rep

 

in some areas, rep is neutral, in other words, its just a pat on the back, no reward.

this weird now i have 4 neutral reps... even though the last one that was just given was from a good member... the one above me lol

I think it may be because I have a red infraction that hasnt expired yet...

 

or because it's coming from the general chat forum or another place where rep is neutral like sawz mentioned.
