I shall update this when ever I see questions being asked. Sorry for the spelling and I hope everything is on par. Yours, TvCC!

What is reputation?

- On this forum you may see the little green blocks, the more of these the user has the better 'reputation' they have. People can give other people reputation in two forms, bad rep and good rep.

How much reputation do I start with?

- You start with 10 rep points, these can go up quickly if people love ya and can go down if people hate you.

How many rep points do you need to go up to another green box? Thanks to sizzler_chetan & ramakrishna p

0 - 99 remains in ----------- 1 blob
On completion of 100 Points - 2 blob
On completion of 200 Points - 3 blobs
On completion of 300 Points - 4 blobs
On completion of 400 Points - 5 blobs
On completion of 500 Points - 6 blobs
On completion of 700 Points - 7 blobs
On completion of 900 Points - 8 blobs
On completion of 1100 Points - 9 blobs
On completion of 1300 Points - 10 blobs
On completion of 1500 Points - 11 blobs

How many rep points do I need to go into the red?

- You can go into the red if you go under 0 rep points, if you do this people might see you as a bad person and might not
trust you however if you have proven yourself in the forum you might find people don't take any notice

If I start a topic asking why I got a rep will someone know?

- No no and no. Don't do it, it is stupid and you will either get flammed or blanked. I am sorry but you would have to just deal with it. Once again, don't make a topic about it!

Can I find out who said I smells?

- No. If they don't put there name there is not a lot you can do. However if the comment is racist or is just for hate you should not really PM any mods as they will most likey blank you.. If your a good forumer that 1 red really won't matter.

I did not do anything to get this Red, can I get it removed?

- Simple no. The person gave you a red rep as they think you did something wrong, even if you don't think you did. Once again a single red rep won't make you look bad, if your a good forumer most of the other reps you get would be green.


Ok I understand Green & Red but.. GRAY?

- Gray is simple, think green as good, red as bad and gray as something that don't effect you. You get gray for two reasons, A) someone who has not got enough posts reps you and B) someone in the 'general' area reps you. Gray does not effect your rep images and should be taken as a pinch of salt

Where do I find out how many rep points I have?

- Go to your user CP and you shall find the box as shown below that says your rep points in the header to the right, for example in this picture I have 86 points



Can I see all the rep points I ever got and the comments?

- As far as I know, no sorry. At the moment the system allows you to show the last 5 rep points, so check often and you should remember the rep you got. You can always post and ask for this to be rised.

How can I give someone rep?

- If you see a post you like or hate and think the poster deserves some rep click the little scales and then choose if you like or hate the post.




How can I say thanks for this post?

The Green box breakdown Should be in the following Way:-
0 - 99 remains in ----------- 1 blob
On completion of 100 Points - 2 blob
On completion of 200 Points - 3 blobs
On completion of 300 Points - 4 blobs
On completion of 400 Points - 5 blobs
On completion of 500 Points - 6 blobs
On completion of 700 Points - 7 blobs
On completion of 900 Points - 8 blobs
On completion of 1100 Points - 9 blobs
On completion of 1300 Points - 10 blobs
(Upto 700 points Iam sure since Iam falling in that range as per my green status. 8 to 10 blobs Iam not sure)

Nice post Few suggestions from me and you should also consider reading that as well.

No one cares who repped you and what did he wrote and dont bother Mods for that because you will only wait for a reply with no success.

Dont ask or start a thread to give you greens or why you got red because that is just STUPID

Post with one thing in mind, Is it going to help anyone? and do not post or even try to help with only intention of getting some more greenies because it doesnt matter.

Here's a little Rep 101 on how to get green and not get red, from a pro that's done almost every thing wrong, and look where he's at!!

1. When you get red, DON'T SAY ANYTHING ABOUT IT!!! Unless you want more!!!
2. Don't make a post about making big bucks when you're doing fraud. We can find out about it, fast. You'll be in da red before you can say the word fraud!!
3. Is there a topic you know a lot about? When every some one has a question in that area, help them. Some times you might get a green. Just don't help people only to get da green! A lot of newbies for example don't even know about the rep stuff, and newbies need I think 50 rep points before they can even give out rep! As a bonus you'll generate more threads that have signature back-links to your site, generateing some visitors and leting search engines find you!
4. If you see a thread about some one who's doing fraud, join in and fame them, bash them, cream them, crucify them...you get the idea!!! Some one who does fraud is never right. Every one will agree with you except the person who did the fraud, or is on the side of the fraud freak!!
5. Like to have fun and just chat?? Live down here in the Off Topic boards. Have fun, make people laugh, just don't try to be a wacko, or you'll be knocked down to red. Only ONE person has ever became a wacko and lived to tell the tail and be in the green!
6. Don't post nasty images, lots of ahem... bouncing smilies, (), 1337 talk, anything that would drive normal humans insane, unless you are the official wacko that knows how to do it right....and get green for it!!!
7. Try not to talk politics!!!! People on your side will give you green, the other side will give you red! Come election day, vote for the Wacko for President!! (Say that, and you'll be bombed with red!)
8. Don't *bump* threads!!!
9. Post like you got English, spelling, grammar....skills. Unless you're the wacko and have learned the da, iz, pze, waz...language!

Do all that, and you'll be bombed with green, like this...

Sorry but couldnt understand that.

As far as I know maybe the mods or admin can see the whole list of reps while the user is limited to 5

Mods can only see your rep number, not the actual reps given or who gave them.

How do you know who is a PM. Is there a list somewhere? The only one I know is TOPS30 and ofcourse Mr. DigitalPoint Shawn himself.

actually, now that I read your line again. Are you saying we shouldn't PM the mods or admin if we have a racist or hate rep? I would have thought otherwise.
