I am seeing 3 different sets of results today, these d/c's are typical: http://216.239.53.104/ http://216.239.37.104/ http://216.239.59.104/ This fits my theory here: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?p=99399#post99399 Google is experimenting? This seems like a more typical serp update, applied on different d/c's with different algos. http://216.239.53.104/ seems to be pre-Superbowl, without new update as of NOW. Can I get a confirmation?
Go to the Google Datacenter Watch Tool and click on the .104 button. Put in recliner. I am seeing flux in the above posted d/c's.
Those have been flucuating like that the past week. EDIT: When I refreshed, I am now seeing a little different results, interesting.
On http://66.102.11.104/ http: //commtechlab.msu.edu/sites/aslweb/R/W3239.htm seems to be at #10, on http://216.239.53.104/ and http://216.239.59.104/ it seems to be in the 40's. http://216.239.53.104/ seems to still show old pre-superbowl results for me.
I am happier with 104's results, but my main needs to climb about another 40 spots to be back to 'normal'. It may never happen. I just wish they would choose one and go with it...
Could you have been pagejacked? Read some of my other posts, and see if your site fits in my theories about google letting up on the algo that caused such bad rankings for me.
yes, true for my site. 216.239.53.104 shows me as #2, others I'm gone. I think I was sandboxed due to a redesign.
So is this the real serps update, after lifting the algo? If that is the case, things ought to be really interesting during the next backlink and pr updates.
This is true. Others reported seeing changes in individual d/c's with the Superbowl update, but I never saw them - they were one, or the other. This looks a whole lot more like a real serp update. I posted elsewhere in this forum I thought it was a bit early for a serp update, when the SB update came along. Today I am still seeing 3 distinct sets of results - as of 10:15a Central.
I am convinced that was a serp update - went from 200+ to around 100 for 'affordable web hosting'. For the first time, I show up on the DP tracker for it. One of my major page/rank jackers dropped over 100 places for the kw the page is targeting. ( ) Some of the datacenters still show slight differences for many of my kw's though. Google has to be experimenting with the algo. Lawrence
