OK, maybe but his terms left room for other thought.

Next the thread starter is a known propagandist against the co-op, his original thought was that this site was taken out because it was a member of the co-op which was false.

1234244 was asking why would he think they needed the co-op since they were already PR9, now I understand what he was saying, just the way he said it needed cleared up for future readers.

Just for clarification on my post. SlyOldDog posted that a PR9 site was banned by google for being in the coop. Shawn clearly stated the failed idiotic logic behind this members post. My post was simply to ask the question - Why would a PR9 site want to join the coop? A PR9 site would clearly have substantial advertising presence on the internet already therefore not requiring the coop.

    Hope this makes more sense.

Man maybe my first beer and my anger at the thread starter made me jump to fast, I think I understand what you meant, but the first time I read it it really was not clear to me, gota quit drinking early in the day. :p

PS: The why do you think they need the ad network part of it is what threw me I think.

Yup, he sure knows how to stir up crap. I think he (assuming he) is one of those people who is teetering on joining but wants to see rattle the cage first.

I have read a few of his anti co op posts on other forums http://www.threadwatch.org/node/808
    (Second from the bottom)

FYI slyolddog I have my 'flagship' domains in http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=12271

My bet is you've already joined...hurry up and get in your 'flagship domain'. :p

    Heh :)

No I didn't join yet. But this banning illustrates that "quality" sites are not immune for a google ban if they carry ads with unrelated anchor text.

Do you have proof that it used to be a PR9?
Do you have proof that any of it is due to those 4 unrelated links?

Here is a page from june 2004 where the PR was mentioned. http://www.ranking-check.de/pagerank_toplist_eng.php

There is also a thread from february 2005 discussing their listing in Google, and since they've been deindexed now that indicates that the penalty happened between feb and now.

And nothing :) . Wendy asked me to prove that is was a pr9 and I have done my best.

My point was that Google is attacking html based ad networks. Did you read about Wordpress?

    "And nothing" indeed.

Since you're not a member of the Coop Ad network to begin with, stop worrying about it.

I think several people in this thread and others have said, "We don't care... go away". Why not take that advice?

Oh? When did this become "your thread", Dog?

Notice the breadcrumbs at the top of the page:

My point is that you are wasting space in the Coop Ad Network forum talking about some enterprise that has nothing to do with the coop to people who have no interest whatsoever in anything you have to say.

If that's you idea of either fun or productive use of time, you must have a very sad life indeed.
