Ryan, You are right that in theory a large amount of traffic doesn't mean more earnings... but logically more people means also more chances of them clicking ... gdev
You mixed up logically and theoretically. "Theoretically more" (because only in theory they're interested in clicking). Example [1] http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=73588 Example [2] http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=72611 Monetize to your traffic.
You have the PR before you even started the site? This is pretty weird...such things were possible like 2 years ago, now I think it will be better for you to get a new domain.
And 3. Good content that keeps visitors on site long enough to click on ads 4. Good ad relevancy 5. Ads with high CPC 6. Good Google ad inventory for content/keywords 7. Good site ranking in SE results 8. Good site design that encourages visitors to click on ads 9. Multiple pages that give visitors multiple chances to see/click ads Notice that PR was never mentioned,
Pr based on links ... I have 2 new sites - 8 weeks old. About 3 sites link to them. Both have a PR rank of 5 ... so if I have zilch people linking to me, then how come the reasonable PR? (I also have a site 11 years old, linked to from thousands of sites, and it has only just crawled from PR4 to PR5). There must surely be some other magical factor.
I suppose there is, but I've not been able to figure out how PR affects my site, one way or another -- except to get more link exchange requests from other sites who want to improve their PR.
