Advertised alot. Got 1000 uniques today. Earned $2 in adsense

I spent lots of money advertising lately. I've gotten many visits, and many hits, but the clicks to my adsense banners arent much. Considering that my traffic is growing day by day, should I use zedo or google? Zedo pays by CPM while I don't think google does, do they?

Please help,

 

It isn't helpful unless you link me to your website and yes $2 is low. My site has less than 20uniques a day to make around $2.

what method of paid advertising did you do
?

 

try fastclick (valueclickmedia now i think), they are the best CPM advertiser around, it is good for high pageview sites. also try putting some images next to your adsense ads, that always helps in CTR.

 

You can try changing placement of your ads first. Change the color, choose diffferent layout..

 

I tried moving, changing colour, etc. I will see about fastclick.

 

Your current adsense integration is extremely poor, I would not discount adsense until you can integrate the code better. When I arrived at the site I had to look for it.

 

Definately needs to be integrated more, take for example the orange banner set, your users are just going to scroll down to watch the video and miss that completely. Better to write a couple of sentances describing the clips and put some box formats next to it. 468 units don't convert that well.

 

You mean FastClick Pay by How many Times Ads were viewd ?( if it does then it's really good for me :| i get 100,000 view per day but don't make enoght in YPN )

No offence, but it is not that appleasing... I went to it and left after 5 seconds. When you can get your users to stay and click on ads that are appealing to them, that's how you get the money you want.

And your ads should blend in with the background and have the same color as the links on your page.

 

What kind of advertising campaign are you using? As a result of this advertising, is your traffic targeted or untargeted?

Ad relevancy appears to be a problem. For example, on your site's main page the ads I saw were irrelevant. I then looked at a category, audio, and the ads seemed more relevant but then I looked at this page and the ads were irrelevant to the subject. Remember, adsense is context sensitive - so make sure each page has relevant text (e.g. a description of the audio) to pick up on. Use section targeting too - focus attention on specific text and/or ignore specific text.

Consider where your traffic is coming from geographically? Geo-targeting could be an issue.

And as everyone else mentioned; blend the ads well.

I tried FastClick. Signed up, but wasn't approved. Emailed the person who is incharge of my account, then he created my account. Then I got an Email saying they don't like racist, while I dont see anything racist in my site, then I thought they're dangerous, they might suspend my account any time, so I switched back to google.

 

Need better adsense integration and you need some good quality content. The site look completely void of content.

 

Before all (im surprised no one pointed this one out) take off the cool links from adsense... tahts a tos violation. GL

And I didnt know it was against the TOS. I'll change it.

 

I visit your site and it doesn't give me any impression of fun whatsoever! (Funny Videos, Games, Flash animations and more!). I'm not sure your visitors are sticking around long enough to even see the adsense ads.

You've got too much text on the main page with nothing that draws attention.

Try posting some thumbnails of your media on the main page.

 

No doubt, I did not stay long enough to use the navigation and neither are your other visitors. You need attention getting content on the main page. I have a site with only 400 visitors daily and it is making $4-$6 per day in adsense.

 

Any tips of how to do that?
