Hi, I'm really curious to know what you guys know about the Google and Yahoo's local search engine. As far as I know technically speaking nor Google nor Yahoo was ever able to implement it successfully since their datacenters are not able to gather personalized/localized page data which is displayed for that particular client. I've fooled around a lot with GeoIP SEO and found that their datacenters are showing data from their local state only. International visitors even don't have localized search since it required separate datacenter in each country. So what would you like to add ? Venetsian
Everyone is local to a different location, recently Google made updates to their algorithm to help refine the results for users that search for localized results.
Which part of the domain name are you referring to? I think that the domain name plays a big role when it comes to the most important factors of SEO, but I do not feel that it is one of the most important factors. Keep in mind: Any domain name can be optimized for any keyword and/or keyword phrase.
Now, there are some debate about LSI. What do you think about LSI? Will it have impact to SERP? Do you think google have already use this method in their algorithms? alexjo
I have a question; why is it that when I use a backlink checker on some of the really major store websites for products like video games and such that it comes back as 0 links? How do they get such high positions without any or few backlinks?
Search engine friendly content is very important. For a while now I have felt that it is important to write content not just for human visitors, but also for search engine spiders and bots; like GoogleBot. Yes LSI will have an impact on SEPR, it will help give websites that have better content a better SEPR. I would have to say that Google has been taking this concept into consideration for a while now, but the importance of this factor is increasing. Below is a link to a post that I recently created here at Digital Point, that relates to this topic. How to write SEO friendly Content
Thanks for your answer, Brett. I just want to go deep on this discussion. There are 2 videos that stompernet launch that they told LSI is just a myth. I'm not in position agree with them, and because I look you said that LSI will have impact to SERP, then would you like to give your opinion to these videos: http://www.stomperblog.com/warning-advanced-seo-technique-does-not-work/ http://www.stomperblog.com/a-top-ranking-hiding-in-your-site/ There are several debate on this topic. Willing to know your opinion. alexjo

I am having trouble viewing this videos, they do not seem to be loading properly at the moment. Sure, I have a post that I would like to refer to a post that I recently created here at Digital Point to help webmasters learn more about SEO. Top 10 List of Important SEO Factors I think may help you better understand what I consider to currently be the most important factors of SEO. Before optimizing your website for external SEO factors make sure that your website is optimized properly for internal factors first. Adding Back Links to Free Link Directory Websites Above is another link to a thread that I started here at DP to help others understand how I have used free link directory websites to help increase the performance of keywords and keyword phrases. Although this post talks about link directory websites, most of the same concepts apply to posting back links on other websites as well. Keep in mind: When optimizing a website it is important to know how to use consistency to establish relevancy. If you have any further questions, comments, or concerns, feel free to post them.
