PayPal Donations

What's your thought on sites that have a PayPal donation sign on it?

I'm thinking about adding one on my blog Blogged Out but I'd appreciate your thoughts.

A paypal donation button would be o.k. But I wouldn't get my hopes up.

I've always thought paypal donation as a way of scrounging money off people, but if its a blog or site with good useful content, they I'd probably donate a few £'s.

 

I only think it is any good of you are a well established site with loads of good information and have a lot of traffic. I seen it work mostly with forums who have thousands of members.

 

I think there good for sites/blogs that don't make much/any money, have a lots people who visit there site and don't charge for anything. If people really feel like your site has helped them then they may Donate to you. .

 

Your blog must be really good for people to donate you money, if so...Go for it.

 

You need loyal readers first. there are some blogs which I frequent, and I have dropped in a couple of bucks in their paypal donation box.
