    ive seena lot of sites with these..
    do ppl actually give??

    Personally i have not received a donation even once

    I have a blog doing 1k average daily but i guess people just come in for casual browsing

    No success for me

    Nothing because I don't use them. I know some sites, particularly professional bloggers like Darren Rowse, do make considerable money from donations. You'll only earn if you're delivering top notch articles every day.

    how does one start one? is their a easy walkthru in paypal settings? or people just create a link to their account

    Well it does depend on the type of site because if you have a webmaster type site more people will have paypal if you have a game site let's say less will have paypal.

    am waiting for my social networking website to finish, after that i will setup a donation button on the home page, perhaps then i will get some donations! am allowing members to have there own ads in there profiles, and a lot of facilities, perhaps i can manage some donations:rolleyes:

    depends on what your site is all about, see the amount of donation dp gets :D , i had read a thread in dp somewhere about a site which was for free dating and the guy recieved some donations coz the member found a date from his site, so if your site helps some one definately you get some reward in return, getting donation without giving anything would be really difficult
