    Auction ends April 17th.
    Site = sportsthunder.com

    I bought this professionally designed message board in July, 2005. I believe it was started in Jan. 2005 so the site is well over 2 years old.

    I believe I paid about 400 for this forum. It was dead but I thought if I could get it active again I’d have some good coop weight from it. I never did put coop ads on there but Google says they have about 2,200 - 2,600 pages indexed (depends on the day) – see http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=site:http://sportsthunder.com/ - so you should be looking at some nice coop weight. I think the phpbb SEO mod (but without modrewrite which is a load on the server) helps here.

    The PR 4 is nothing extraordinary but it should allow for decent coop weight. This also shows what I’ve done for the forum since it was PR 2 when I bought it. I think the increase is thanks to several paid inclusion web directory listings including bluefind, wow, linkcabin, jtrotta.com, Aviva directory, and Sevenseek.

    So you get an aged site. You get a site with good coop potential thanks to PR and 2,600 indexed pages. You get a professionally designed site.

    Best of all you get a site that can make some serious money selling text link ads. I had an exclusive agreement with the current lone advertiser (link on the index page). This agreement is expiring April 17 so the new owner will be free to do whatever they like.

    It should be fairly easy to sell 10-12 everypage links at $15/month. 10 everypage links at 15/month would make this an 1800/year site. This is exactly what I’ll do if the site doesn’t sell. The sports niche is a great one for selling text link ads. Obviously I can’t promise that you will turn this into an 1800/year site. But I can promise that I’ll do it (fairly easily I might add) if the site doesn’t sell. You should be able to do it too.

    But considering the coop potential here and the income potential here, plus the age of the site I do expect the site to sell easily.

    The new owner will want to attract some new members. Every once in a while we get someone new but we haven’t been able to keep them here long. And the new owner will want to visit once a day to delete spam. The phpbb admin userlist mod makes deleting spammers simple. The new owner might want to do some link trades. This is something we haven’t done at all (that’s right, not one link trade).

    I’m selling because I never did make this forum an active one and probably won’t make the effort in the near future. This site should be worth more to someone else, someone who has the time to make the forum active and attract new members.

    Don't forget about my other site for sale: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=277654
