Not sure. I'd say try to sign up now. Then quickly contact Google with questions.

I spend most of the day looking over this.

As far as I can tell this is just a tool you can use. To make things easier for you and to directly tap into the Google adsense program.

Wouldn't they need to have a big press release of sorts to let people know or are they just going to go around banning all ad rev share sites without warning.

Most people don't review the API. The API is there for developers not the regular web joe or jane.

I don't think think they expect most of use to read it.

And as the title of the thread says, these are rules for API. Most of use don't use their API.

I did not see a sign that says ad revenue sharing can only be done this way or Google will smash your dreams.

It says, we want to help you out with this nifty API if you get a ton of visitors to your site.

    This is what I asked:

Just to be sure I don't cause another violation. There is a big thread starting about the popular ad revenue sharing on Digital Point

    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=472950

Because of the new ad sharing API people are scared that google will ban sites that ad share using a php script.

I read the API over and over, and it seems to be but a tool to help us.

Can we still run Revene Sharing sites like digitalpoint or do we have to use the new API?

    This is the response:

    Hello Butler,

The AdSense API is a program for large site developers to share ad space
with users who create their own web content through applications like web
hosting, web publishing, blogging, or social networking. It does not
affect the policy compliance of any other ad sharing implementation.

    Sincerely,

    xxxxxxx
    The Google AdSense Team
