    Hi all,

I have been working on my site the past couple of months and I'm having trouble
getting higher than I am right now.

    my site www.keone.com

is listed on MSN at spot 5 but is not generating traffic that you would expect so I guess my title should change but as soon as I do Google drops fast and Yahoo does not change much

google is at 50 right now and yahoo at 18 but whatever I do I gain a few spots but lose them again as I make another change. for instance when I put my main keyword in the first alt tag google waves goodby and drops 20 spots.

Lately I took care of the duplicate home page problem with mambo/ joombla my CMS and fixed it alinked from all pages with my main keyword back to the index page

I kept busy with link building and I have more incoming links than most of my competitors. I started a blog and used a IBP report to compare my site with the top qo for google. Still I cant get higher than position 50 or so.

my main keywords that should drive the most traffic are

    bamboo fly rods
    bamboo flyrods
    bamboo fly fishing rods

I really am desperate as I have put way to much time in this already and I should be making rods. I do however need good SE listings to be able to sell my rods worldwide.

I'm on a tight budget but I am willing to pay (not too much please ...) for advice or help to get me on those desired first pages with titles and or descriptions that actually tempt people to click the link to get first time visitors.

I could really need some help

    Thanks,
    Danny

It looks like you've done a lot of the work already, I'm very impressed. Just a newbie here, but I was looking at some of your pages, and all the title tags have "bamboo fly rods" in them. Maybe you should mix them up a little your other keywords, diversify.

How old is your site? Age may have something to do with it.

Experimenting can hurt. Google track changes, and frequency of changes, and does not like most of them.

If you don’t have a feeling for search engines, find good pro with good price. If you do have it, holy commandment from me is one word: natural! Always start your SEO efforts from the foundation "how would non-optimized site look"? Otherwise you can do more harm than good.

Btw, would top source for rods have links to and from "museums" "weblog" "women" etc.

Links are still main influence for SERP, but days of quantity are over with Google, and others will follow.
